Apple Fritters
- Prep Time: 25 Minutes, Total Time: 30 Minutes

- 2/3 cup Flour
- 3 packets Baked Apple Cinnamon-flavored Creamy Wheat Instant Hot Cereal
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoon CALUMET Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 2 Eggs, Separated
- 2/3 cup Milk
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- Oil, For Frying
MIX flour, cereal, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl; set aside. Beat egg yolks, milk and 1 Tbsp. oil with wire whisk until well blended. Add to flour mixture; stir until well blended. Let stand 10 min.
MEANWHILE, heat 1-1/2 inches oil in heavy saucepan or electric skillet to 375°F. BEAT egg whites on high speed with electric mixer until stiff peaks form; gently stir into batter. Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot oil; cook 3 to 5 min. or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Cool completely.

How to Separate Eggs:
Pull apart cracked egg with thumb. Pour contents of egg from one half of shell to other, allowing egg white to run into bowl.
Jazz It Up:
Dust fritters with powdered sugar just before serving.
